Schellenbach Photography is rooted in documenting the traditions of hunting, the importance of conservation, and the stories that connect them.
Through still imagery, the goal is to create work that not only captures the present moment, but preserves it for the future.
Our Philosophy
At its core, the work is about more than a single image. It is about creating a record of something that allows others to experience a moment as it was seen and felt.
Much of the work centers around hunting and the conservation-minded community that surrounds it. These images aim to reflect both the tradition and the responsibility that come with it, showing respect for the environment and the people connected to it.
There is an emphasis on being present, prepared, and intentional. Ensuring that when a moment happens, it is captured in a way that is honest and lasting.

Meet Michael
Michael Schellenbach is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Combat Cameraman with over 20 years of experience in photography, videography, and visual media.
Throughout his military career, he documented both combat and garrison environments, developing a disciplined approach to preparation, awareness, and capturing moments as they unfold.
After retiring from the Marine Corps in 2019, he continued pursuing photography independently, bringing that same level of focus and intent into his work today.
